The Five People You Meet in Heaven
by Mitch Albom
Mitch Albom's The Five People You Meet in Heaven kills its hero on page one. Eddie, eighty-three, an amusement-park maintenance man, dies under a falling ride car and wakes to five people who explain what his life was actually for. A 214-page parable about regret, meaning, and the hope buried in an ordinary working life.
