Their Eyes Were Watching God
by Zora Neale Hurston
Their Eyes Were Watching God follows Janie Crawford through three marriages in Eatonville and the Florida Everglades, in a voice that mixes the speech of its characters with lyrical narration. Zora Neale Hurston's classic is a love story, a story of finding selfhood, and a book people reread.
