Into the Wild
by Jon Krakauer
Into the Wild is Jon Krakauer's reconstruction of Chris McCandless, a college graduate from a well-off family who gave away his savings, took the name Alexander Supertramp and walked alone into the Alaskan wilderness, where he died. It is an investigation, a character study and a sad, argumentative piece of nonfiction.
