A Walk in the Park: The True Story of a Spectacular Misadventure in the Grand Canyon
by Kevin Fedarko
Kevin Fedarko's A Walk in the Park follows two underprepared friends on a punishing, mostly trail-less trek across the length of the Grand Canyon, and it turns out to be as much nature writing and history as it is pure adventure nonfiction, a slow-burning read for anyone who wants the desert to feel genuinely dangerous on the page.
