Behind Closed Doors
by B.A. Paris
B.A. Paris's debut sits you inside the head of Grace Angel, whose husband is charming, wealthy, admired by everyone who meets him, and keeps metal shutters on all the downstairs windows. Behind Closed Doors runs on dread rather than violence, and its countdown gets genuinely hard to sit through.
