Tatiana Maslany narrates this special-edition Hunger Games with a huskiness and control that makes Katniss's guardedness feel lived-in rather than performed. Maslany, an Emmy winner known for distinguishing dozens of characters in Orphan Black, brings that same range here: the Capitol residents get a glossy, unsettling sheen, while Katniss stays flinty and exhausted underneath, right up through the quaver in her voice at Rue's funeral song.
