Daggermouth Audiobook by H. M. Wolfe— narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Angel Pean
Daggermouth by H. M. Wolfe is a dark, fast enemies-to-lovers dystopian romance, book one of The Heart Duology. A mercenary sent to kill the president's son botches the job and gets a wedding instead, inside a masked, watched city where rebellion runs on rage.
Why the audiobook wins
Teddy Hamilton and Angel Pean split the narration of a dark enemies-to-lovers romance that moves through several points of view, the villain's among them. A large cast and plenty of sarcastic, tense banter between a mercenary and the president's son give two narrators a lot to play.
At about 18 hours, this is a long, fast-moving listen. Check the content warnings first, since the violence is graphic, the cruelty is routine, and there are a handful of love scenes on the page. This is book one of a duology and it ends on a cliffhanger.
The world arrives with its rules in place, but the momentum is hard to resist. One Audible credit covers the whole book.
