You can hear the difference between Nora's competence and her panic in real time, and that gap is where the comedy and the suspense both live.
At just over nine hours, it's a satisfying single-trip listen, well matched to an actual road trip given that Nora's own cross-country escape in an Airstream she barely knows how to tow is the engine of the plot. Hearing her narrate her own improvisation makes her a more convincing amateur sleuth than a summary could.
