A multi-viewpoint thriller running two timelines is exactly the shape a full cast solves. In print you glance at the chapter heading to work out whose head you are in. In the recording you know inside three words, which lets Ashley Elston cut between Camille and Aubrey faster than the page would comfortably allow.
That matters more here than it would in most thrillers, because the pleasure is bookkeeping. You are tracking who was where across those twelve hours, and a distinct voice attached to each account keeps your ledger straight while the book quietly rearranges what is in it. The scene at Chantilly's, with Aubrey performing somebody else's life out loud, plays better than it reads.
Nine hours and thirty-nine minutes, one credit. Short enough for a weekend, and paced so that the natural stopping points never quite arrive when you want them.
